Why do scientist so strongly discredit sea monster sightings?
Q. Well i had a thought, why do sciesntist so strongly discredit these sightings? I mean we have explored i think less then 4% of the ocean, and i mean alligators, crocodiles, snakes, sharks, turtles, fishes and frogs have been around since the dinosaurs. So whats do say a plesiosaur hasnt been evolving with us this whole time and we just didnt know it?

A. Okay, first I want to address the radar issue. The radars pick up several low animal fequency sounds and masses each year, do some reasearch. Some actually have names. Secondly, to assume a relic dinosaur(s) or reptile(s)can't exisit without being noticed is ignorant. The vast oceans have yet to be explored. For example. A fish, thought to be extint 70 million years ago was found alive and well in small numbers in the deep waters. There are several cryptids that have been proven real. I'm not saying believe them all but don't dismiss the idea. Also, scientists only have educated guesses about the lives of pre-hostoric animals, not hard facts. Common sense says there's a lot we don't know about. So all of you have fun in your little box.

Q. If you do not believe in mermaids dont read this. I am staying in Michigan for two months and I was wondering if there have ever been mermaid sightings.

Are vampires supposed to be based on bats and what are the earliest sightings of them?
Q. I'm fascinated by vampires, and how there are different sightings of them all over the world, and have been for hundreds of years . . . I'm just interested in any information about how the suspicion was created and what it was made from?

A. Nikkerka has some good sources for you. In addition, I recommend two books for you. 'Vampire Universe' and 'Cryptopedia' by Jonathan Maberry both have some valuable info in terms of folkloric accounts from around the world, including some quite obscure references.
