Q. My country has just joined the Convention for Child Abduction in year 2009. My exhusband has absconded to Turkey with my kids in 2006. Turkey is a member since 2000, thus it has wrongful retention of my kids under this convention, but there is an Article 35 which states, as follows, so, am I able to be an applicant to this convention? Article 35: This Convention shall apply as between Contracting States only to wrongful removals or retentions occurring after its entry into force in those States.

Q. Why does international parental abduction have nothing to do with children s rights only parental rights, and the child is handled like personal property by both parents until age 18? Why would the American father still want the mother prosecuted when the child is 18 or older and she never wants to see her father ever again and is still living abroad with her mother? She has no intention of ever returning to the USA if her mother is facing criminal charges in the USA. She even says that the only victim is her father, because he did not get what he wanted.

Q. In the Tori Stafford case, an accessory charge against Terri-Lynne McClintic was upgraded to murder and an abduction charge became kidnapping. What is the legal difference between abduction and kidnapping? I'm not sure if you're familiar with this case as it is Canadian but there was no ransom demanded by the two people who are being charged with her murder. I'm trying to figure out why an initial charge of abduction would later be upgraded to kidnapping; this applies a more severe situation with a harsher punishment

Its a big thing to be accused of, but do you think Gerry is covering for Kate. She has always looked more worried than him. He looks to calm to me. These blood results dont look to good either. A. If I were you I would end it. Noone needs that sort of worry in their life. Are you sure he didn't do it? Its is an extremely serious allegation and not one to be taken lightly. If you do stay with him there is nothing you can do to help and if he gets found guilty he will be gone for a very long time and will not be the same person when he gets out. My ex went to jail for armed robbery of 2 post offices and a bank and he is out now and I do see him around and he is a mess. It will not be long before he is back in there as he is now institutionalised. Good luck with your decision and I hope you make the right one x

A. The Portuguese police ruled out abduction long ago, so no - I don't believe them. I think as sisters, they'll believe whatever is fed to them and I don't think it's right that third parties should be interviewed and their statements taken as fact. Why don't we hear UFO abduction stories from African-Americans or other minorities?
Q. I am a Black person who is highly fascinated by the whole UFO/alien phenomena. I am not a contactee (that I know of) but I rarely hear of other people of color relating their alien experiences. Do these things just not happen to minorities? That seems a little hard to believe.

A. most people who see ufo and similar abnormal things live in rural areas(aka country places) away from major cities. most things that are reported about black come from major cities, not the blacks that live outside the city. my mom's from the country and she's seen unidentified objects. I was raised in the city and that's unheard of with anyone regardless of race.

A. That's a great question! I have often wonder the same thing! We seldom see a huge amount of coverage on missing person cases for african american or hispanic people. However, we get a few Caucasian woman or little girls go missing and they are all over the news. I have not problem with these kids getting the coverage from the media. However I think ALL children deserve the same coverage! People care just as much as about the missing hispanic child as we do the missing white child! I think it boils down to racism in the media. Or a belief that the viewers want to hear more about 1 type of missing children they we do about another! You'd think in our day and age with Obama as our President that we could get equal coverage for ALL… [cont.]

A. The 1975 tv movie 'The UFO Incident' is the true story of Barney & Betty Hill, an interratial couple who in the early 60s claim to have been abducted by a UFO. I did hear they were going to remake this again but have no idea what it will be or has been called. And I think it's already been remade in the 90s as well but I may just be dreaming that part...lol
